Active Learning Curriculum is a curriculum designed specifically to meet the developmental needs of the whole child. It provides interactive age appropriate activities for your child, helping to enhance development in areas such as physical, language, sensory, and creativity skills.

Children will explore relational skills, music, science, language, and much more through play, which encourages divergent thinking, and helps to create a storehouse of memories that will be beneficial to them as they learn to become successful adults.

In an Active Learning environment a young infant may learn to develop their understanding of language while their caregiver lovingly sings a nursery rhyme to them as they sit and cuddle together. A toddler will experience the world around them as their caregiver shows them a picture of a cow and talks about how cows say “moo” and lives on a farm. Through the Active Learning Curriculum a two year old child will be able to explore science and sensory as they search and dig for bugs during playtime at the sand table.

In addition to Active Learning curriculum, Your child will learn of God’s love through Bible songs, stories, and everyday experiences. Nature has a way of proving there is a Savior who loves us and cares deeply for us. Our teachers will help your child learn of Jesus as they explore the world around them. For example, God has given us eyes to see, a nose to smell, and a mouth to taste. At Central Baptist Preschool your child will learn that God is their great Creator who loves them and desires to have a relationship with them.

A Beka is a Bible based curriculum which has been proven throughout the years to lay the fundamental skills needed to read and write, while effectively building a solid foundation in Christ. Furthermore, the A Beka curriculum prepares children adequately for kindergarten and a lifetime of successful learning experiences.

Through the curriculum your child will learn to recognize the individual letters and sounds of the alphabet to become effective readers. Children will also learn the fine motor skills needed to have great penmanship. A Beka curriculum will also give your child math concepts such as, one-to-one correspondence, sets, classifying and comparing.

Along with learning the basic skills needed for reading, writing and arithmetic, your child will learn their world around them through creative exploration and play.
